The Line 6 HD 147 - yes, it looks like an Art Deco dream, all black & chrome, vertical grill lines glowing ethereally, illuminated from within by blue light ... gorgeous. But apart from the exquisite visuals, it's the internals that really light us up.
Brooke and Alex having been using Line 6 gear for years. It began when Brooke was given as a gift that odd little red kidney-shaped Line 6 Pod. Bluntly, the sounds were great.

She was instantly converted. At that time Alex had a wacking great big flight case full of Rocktron gear, but was gradually being tempted away by the sheer quality of the Pod's sounds.
Fuse was also lured in by the charms LINE 6. After many years of being endorsed by Trace Elliot, she kept up to date on other bass products but rarely felt the need to branch out. - then she got her rack mounted Bass Pod Pro system and MT-TV's love affair began...

But there was always a problem with the Pod - - a strange frequency, almost a distinctive signature, that couldn't be gotten rid of through EQ changes or any messing about with the parameters.
This was about to change...the company were aware and that distinctive problem had ended with the LINE 6 HD147. In case you didn't know, 147 is the level at which the human eardrum is meant to rupture - (we haven't tested the theory - we haven't needed to go up to 11 as of yet, but we know it has the power if necessary!)

Just before we left England MT-TV gained an endorsement deal from LINE 6. Brooke and Alex hardly had time to rip open the head and speaker boxes. let alone really get inside the gear's potential before all the band equipment was packed up, crated and shipped across the pond.
However, they did get the fun and fascinating fact-filled factory tour - (ok that's a lot of 'f''s,) but alliteration aside, they were totally seduced by the demo's and history of the effort that went into crafting the beast.

.
After having the HD147's for nearly a year now, both girls have rummaged deep inside the pre-programmed patches, tweaking, changing and creating, coming up with each of their own signature sounds but still managing to compliment each other. Creamy clear, chunky, jagged and dark - all sounds that can seriously upset a support band...or a headlining band.

|
The LINE 6 gear is to be heard all over the new - very nearly finished - album. Corner either of the girls post gig and they will blather on for hours about the respective merits of the heads... more than an affair of the heart...their minds and ears are addicted.
